Abstract:
A 1980 national-scale land-cover classification based on aerial photo interpretation was combined with year 2000 AVHRR NDVI time series satellite imagery to derive land-cover change information for forest, urban, and agriculture categories over a seven-state region in the U.S.
Purpose:
This 2000 AVHRR NDVI composite satellite image was uniquely classified for comparison purposes with 1980 LUDA data.
