Courses - Workshops - Certification

The ESA Lab at the School of Natural Resources & Environment is committed to expanding and improving the abilities of students and researchers to derive the maximum benefits from spatial analysis methods of inquiry.

Toward that end, SNRE offers a number of classes in geographic research, GIS applications, and Remote Sensing. The lab facility itself offers workshops and maintains a library of technical documentation and tutorials that were created "in house."

Also note, the University of Michigan Center for Statistical Consultation and Research hold non-credit, 2-day Spatial Analysis and GIS Workshops for a fee and the University Library Numeric & Spatial Data Services group holds occasional free mini workshops in addition to their freely accessible online Guides and Tutorials.
